New Ray Toys' BMW R1200C

I'm working on a custom figure and I thought a motorcycle would be great for him. Originally, I wanted a Harley but I couldn't find one that was affordable and in 1/6th scale. On a trip to Toys R Us, I came across New Ray's line of 1/6th motorcycles and immediately wanted one. The BMW R1200C was the closest thing to what I was looking for.

The minute you see these things in the store, you will know that you need to have one. This thing is a beauty. The first thing you'll notice is that it is a bit heavy. Yes, that's right! This thing has die-cast metal parts! The frame of this bike is die-cast metal while everything else is plastic. The tires are a hard rubber. The detail in this bike is great, from the little BMW emblem to the disc brakes on the wheels. I usually dislike vac-metallized plastic, but on this motorcycle it works extremely well and simulates polished chrome to perfection.

I'm sure this motorcycle was designed for display only since niether the front nor rear suspension actually works. Hmm...what more is there to say? The paint job is spectacular, the textures on the seat are great, the chrome is nice and shiny, and your figures will love riding around on this thing! So just look at the pictures and decide if it's time to invest in a motorcycle. At 20 bucks you can't go wrong.

New Ray has also produced their own versions of motorcycles released by 21st Century. The only difference is that New Ray's bikes have die-cast parts and come in different colors. Want a civilian Indian motorcycle? They make one. In fact, they make them in a few different colors! Too cool. This is also a good way to get your hands on a SWAT dirt bike without shelling out 40 - 50 bucks for the 21st Century set.
